From development to certified calibration
Every WOT performance upgrade is developed by specialized calibration engineers. We consider the engine, transmission, and vehicle systems as one integrated system. Instead of applying broad changes to individual maps, we precisely calibrate all relevant functions to work together. The result is a precise and repeatable calibration with controlled power delivery and smooth, refined driving behavior.
Development under scrutiny
A peak value alone says little about the actual quality of a performance upgrade. That is why we test the engine across the entire RPM and load range. Among other things, we analyze torque, boost pressure, ignition, injection, lambda values, and temperatures. The goal is a robust calibration that delivers its performance in a controlled and repeatable manner.

With a WOT calibration, we do not simply increase boost pressure and fuel delivery. We also take into account torque limitations, protection functions, and the calibration of the transmission and other vehicle systems.
This allows the engine to build its additional torque in a controlled manner without unnecessary peaks. Throttle response remains precise, while the additional power is delivered consistently across the widest possible RPM range.
Testing Under Real-World Conditions
A good calibration must perform reliably under more than just full load. That is why we also test cold starts, idle, partial load, load changes, and interaction with the transmission – at different RPMs, temperatures, and driving conditions.
For products with road approval, we also take into account the requirements for emissions, noise, and other approval-related criteria.

A performance upgrade with road approval is more complex today than ever before. Current emissions standards, extensive testing procedures, and high development costs place significantly greater demands on manufacturers and developers.
For WOT, these requirements are not an obstacle, but an integral part of our product development. We deliberately invest in the necessary measurements and approval procedures. Almost every day, our vehicles are tested in emissions laboratories to measure emissions under defined conditions, provide technical documentation, and establish the requirements for legal use on public roads.
Testing does not focus solely on the level of performance a vehicle can achieve. Emissions behavior, noise emissions, thermal loads, and other approval-relevant requirements are also taken into account. The goal is a performance upgrade that not only delivers convincing results on the dyno, but, for appropriately marked products, can also be legally and fully approved for use on public roads.
Each approval applies to clearly defined vehicle models, engine variants, and technical configurations. This ensures transparent documentation of which vehicles and under which conditions the respective WOT performance upgrade is approved.
The requirements, notes, and conditions specified within the scope of application are binding. Any differing hardware or software combinations must be assessed separately.
